An investment-grade tasting for whisky connoisseurs. The tasting mainly focuses on super expensive, super rare, single cask, single distillery, old and rare drams. Included with the tasting are a few "Ghost Distilleries"—specifically the lost legends of Karuizawa, Hanyu, Kawasaki, or even mothballed Mars, Suntory, and Nikka distilleries. We will also dive into a few long-aged statements from the major houses that now command thousands of dollars per bottle - but honestly most of the bottles on this menu command around $2000-$9000 per bottle on auction. This is a tasting of the unfindable, paired with a look at the most exclusive releases of the modern Japanese whisky wave.
